Stained Tooth Education, founded by Dr. Volinder Dhesi and Dr. Alexandria Russ in 2021, combines dentistry and fine wine to offer unique learning experiences for dental professionals.
Founded in 2021 by the dynamic duo of Dr.
Volinder Dhesi and Dr. Alexandria Russ, Stained Tooth Education merges the worlds
of dentistry and fine wine in an innovative and engaging way. In addition to
being passionate dentists and certified wine sommeliers, both founders are
proud graduates of the prestigious Kois Center.
What began as a series of Instagram live
wine tastings has rapidly evolved into an array of live events that combine
quality education with elevated experiences. Stained Tooth Education offers a
diverse range of programs designed to empower dental professionals.
Participants enhance their skills, deepen their appreciation for wine, and
connect with a vibrant community of like-minded individuals.
Our vision is to create elevated
opportunities that not only advance dental knowledge but also foster enriching
interactions in a sophisticated setting. Join us as we redefine dental
education—one sip at a time.
Dr.Volinder Dhesi
Dr. Volinder S. Dhesi is a Calgary-based
dentist specializing in restorative, esthetic, and CAD/CAM dentistry.
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, the Kois Center, and the Las Vegas Institute, he serves as a Key Opinion Leader and faculty member for Dentsply
Sirona Academy Canada.
Beyond dentistry, he is WSET Level 3 certified in wine and spirits and shares his passions on. In 2021, he co-founded Stained Tooth Education with Dr. Alexandria Russ, blending dental education and fine wine
through live events and experiences designed to elevate professional growth and
community connection. Outside of work, he enjoys family life with his wife of 22 years and their three children.
Dr. Alexandria Russ
Dr. Alexandria Russ graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014. After a year in private practice, she took a two-year hiatus to travel the world with her husband, exploring 35 countries.
It was during this journey that her passion for wine blossomed, leading her to become a certified sommelier.
She continues to nurture this enthusiasm through the Stained Tooth Programs. A proud Kois graduate, Dr. Russ is equally dedicated to dentistry and owns a boutique private practice in Boulder, Colorado.
